A new women’s outpatient clinic has opened at Rockingham General Hospital (RGH) providing a ‘one-stop-shop’ for local women.
The clinic provides a streamlined and easily accessible single location for antenatal, obstetrics and gynaecology services, the new clinic comes as a direct result of patient feedback, requesting a ‘one-stop-shop’ for women in the Rockingham area.
The antenatal, obstetrics and gynaecology outpatient services are now co-located opposite the emergency department (ED), providing an easily accessible space for women’s outpatient services.
The move came as a direct result of patient feedback requesting a single co-located model, to better meet the needs of those accessing these services.
In the first month alone, 2,171 patients attended appointments in the clinic, highlighting just how well-utilised the services are.
Comment attributed to Member for Rockingham, Magenta Marshall MLA “It’s great to see Rockingham General Hospital taking onboard feedback from the community and making improvements that benefit our local community, now, and into the future.
“It was my pleasure to meet to hear about the difference this is making, and I’m taking the opportunity it brings this Women’s Health Week to remind us all – me included – how important it is we take our health seriously.”
