We're also delivering record investment in infrastructure and transport across Western Australia—boosting economic growth, improving safety, and cutting costs for commuters.
From regional highways to metropolitan rail, our Government is upgrading the infrastructure that connects our communities. Major rail projects are reshaping Perth’s public transport network, with METRONET delivering new stations, extended lines, and thousands of local jobs. Across WA, we are investing in safer roads, stronger bridges, and better freight connections to support industries and create opportunities for local economies.
We're making public transport more accessible and affordable than ever before. By reducing public transport fees to one-zone across the Transperth network - meaning commuters pay no more than $2.70 with an autoload Smartrider.
And right across WA, we’re upgrading roads, fixing bottlenecks, and improving safety for all road users. These upgrades are not only reducing travel times but are also making our transport network safer and more sustainable for the future.
The Cook Labor Government is delivering real results—investing where it counts, and building a stronger, safer, and more connected community.
