As a local mum, I know how important it is to support our local schools to give our kids the best start in life.

I made it a priority of mine in the 2025 State Election to secure funding for every school in our community - to ensure that no kid goes without. Locally, I am proud to be part of a government that delivers for education in Rockingham.

  • Rockingham Senior High School. $60 million for major upgrades and specialist facilities.
  • Safety Bay Senior High School. $40 million for specialist facilities, upgraded classrooms and refurbishments. 
  • Malibu School. $4.2 millionfor an education support hub and outdoor sensory equipment.
  • Cooloongup Primary School. $1 million for upgrades to the early childhood learning facilities.
  • Bungaree Primary School. $110,000 to construct a large nature-based adventure playground.
  • East Waikiki Primary School. $50,000 for a kindergarten nature-based adventure playground.
  • Hillman Primary School. $50,000 for shade sails over the playground and installation of new chilled water fountains.
  • Rockingham Beach ESC. $50,000 for a lifestyle kitchen classroom to teach students how to cook themselves.
  • Safety Bay Primary School. $50,000 for a nature based-playground on the shared used oval.
  • Star of the Sea Primary School. $50,000 for funding toward a nature-based playground.
  • Rockingham Beach Primary School. $50,000 for a Wandjar Meeting Place to highlight the cultural significance of Rockingham.
  • Kolbe Catholic College. $40,000 toward the new college gymnasium.
  • Rockingham Montessori School. $32,000 for new student IT equipment.
  • Charthouse Primary School. $25,000 for an indigenous cultural centre and food garden.
  • Rockingham Senior High School ESC. $25,000 for new swing sets.

These commitments build on the State Government's commitment to education by committing to a boost in funding for all public schools so they reach 100 per cent of the Schooling Resource Standard (SRS) by 2026.

From upgrading facilities to investing in teacher development, the Cook Labor Government is ensuring every child has access to quality learning close to home.

Right across Western Australia, we're committed to delivering quality education for our children.

  • Cost of Education Relief - A second round of the student assistance payments of $250 for every secondary school student and $150 for primary and kindergarten students in Term 2. 
  • School Breakfast Program - Providing $37 million to expand the School Breakfast Program to more schools, five days per week. 
  • Optional Kindy Expansion - Piloting voluntary double free kindy hours, increasing from five days per fortnight to five days per week.
  • Keep Schools Cool - Rolling out an $89 million ducted reverse cycle air-conditioning upgrade program across all WA public schools. 
  • Fee Free TAFE - Investing $58 million in new free TAFE courses and apprenticeship supports. On top of making 130 courses fee free.
